ทุกข์เพราะความอยาก , 由於欲望, The Four Noble Truths

อริยสัจ 4 ประการ หมายถึง ชีวิตเป็นทุกข์ เพราะความทะยานอยาก

ความอยากที่เจือไปด้วย ความเพลิน คือความไม่รู้

เพลิน ๆ ไป อยากได้ อยากมี อยากเป็น

เมื่อเรารู้เหตุ แห่งทุกข์แล้ว จึงเป็นสมุทัย

หยุดความอยากได้ คือนิโรธ เกิดขึ้นที่ใจก็ต้องหยุดที่ใจ

พอหยุดความอยากได้แล้ว ก็จะเข้าถึงมรรค จะเห็นมรรค

เป็นหนทางที่จะนำไปสู่อายตนนิพพาน

聖諦有四項，亦即「苦、集、滅、道」。意思為，由於欲望的緣故，
所以生命終究是 「苦」。為了滿足欲望，而無知地想要玩樂、想要
得到、想要擁有、想要成為什麼等等，這就是導致生命痛苦的原因，
也就是 「集」。能夠停止想要的欲望，就是「滅」。而欲望乃從內
心產生，所以要在心中消滅它。一旦能夠止息欲望了，就能夠證「道」，
能夠見「道」，亦即走在通往涅盤的正道上。

The Four Noble Truths is an
illustration of suffering: its
nature, its cause, its cessation
and the way leading to cessation.
Suffering exists as a result of
sensual desires. We are prone
to spoiling ourselves and we
tend to struggle for acquisition
endlessly. Once we realize the
cause of suffering, we must learn
how to end it. Since the mind is
the source of all desires, we must
uproot desire from the mind.

When we are free from all desires,
we will see the Noble Path, the
path that leads to Nirvana.
